Question about ZX-6R amp

Quick question for my fellow 2020 ZX-6R owners. I'm trying to understand the electrical system. so, the stator makes around 40-ish volts AC right? Then the rectifier turns that into about 14V DC to charge the battery and power everything?

what about amps? How many amps does the stator put out, and how many does the rectifier let flow through the bike?
 
The stator's total output is usually rated in watts. For the ZX-6R it commonly produce in the range of 25-45 amps (or around 300-500 watts) at higher RPMs. The exact spec can vary though. As for the rectifier it will only allow the necessary current to flow to meet the bike's electrical demands and charge the battery. hoep this helps!

That sounds pretty accurate! On my 2020 ZX-6R, the stator generates AC power that's converted to about 14V DC. The system can handle up to around 400W, so you're looking at a maximum of about 25 to 30 amps. The rectifier basically manages the power requirements, and any excess just gets released as heat.
