Headlight issue with my secondhand Ninja

So I got this 2008 ZX-6R secondhand and I've been really trying to make it beautiful. It doesn't give me any spark but then I got it for really cheap so I don't have the audacity to complain.

What I'm now discovering is that the aftermarket headlight assembly I got has 3 pins. But then again, the connector I bought is 6 pins. Now I can't seem to set up the fairings if not fixing in the headlight first.

How can I go about this?

Sure sounds like you've got a mismatch between the headlight and the connector. You might need to either find a compatible 3 pin connector or rewire the 6 pin to match the 3 pin setup. A multimeter will help trace which wire does what just take your time and label everything before splicing. it helps

Hey I agree with @HaremScareEm and additonally also make sure to check pin functions (high beam, low beam, ground, etc.) before cutting anything. Otherwise, maybe just hunt down a headlight that's meant for your exact model to avoid the hassle.

I'm in literally the same position and the solution I was told was rewiring, which I'm considering at this point
