FJ600 fuel fitting fix or flop?

I'm tryna fix my cousin's ZX-6R carb , but the stock tee fuel fitting is MIA from stores (accdg to him). He grabbed some random FJ600 part off Amazon as a Hail Mary. Hope it doesn't blow up in our faces lol. Anyone else MacGyver this before?

Finally got it sorted! The FJ600 part actually worked with no explosions (lol), just a snug fit that held up. Ended up adjusting the connections a bit, but my cousin's ZX-6R is back in action.
